OUR CHRISTMAS SEASON 10 POINTS FOR RETAIL SALES SUCCESS

■ OUR CHRISTMAS SEASON ‘10’ POINTS FOR RETAIL SALES SUCCESS ■

■ “OUR DESIGN IDEAS DELIVER RESULTS ON TARGET”© ■

We are entering into the busiest time of the year for Jewelers. PAY ATTENTION:

1-Check all your overhead lights in your store to be in order and make sure that their light beam is directed towards the merchandising areas and DEFINITELY NOT onto your store’s floor around them!

2-Make sure that all your light bulbs are of the same specifications (color rating, wattage, angle degree) and as originally specified by your lighting designer. Dust off all track-lights and reflectors. Avoid the common mistake of mixing cool white lamps with warm white ones.

3-Adjust the merchandising presentation in your window displays with jewelry best suitable with the spirit of the Season. And remember, as your effort to bring-in customers into your store, that’s what everyone else in your market is trying to do too. SO, make sure your window displays are unique and look fresh with a touch (not too much) of green and red décor.

4-Maintain a clean and organized display presentations with high and low focus points.

5-Make sure that throughout your display areas you have little signs with your store’s name and logo.

6-Although this is it the busiest time of the year that will help you perhaps catching-up with your annual sales figures, AVOID over crowding your showcases, as that will confuse your customer, than helping them focus onto an item to purchase.

7-This is the time to start emphasizing more in your weekly meetings your sales presentation procedures.

8-As this is the busiest time of the year for retail sales, IT IS ALSO the busiest time for thefts. SO, bring your security procedures reviews into daily 15-30 minutes meetings and constantly review your procedures with all, especially the temporary sales brought into your stores for the season. Review your security system with your security monitoring company.

9-To Store Managers: No matter what you do at closing, NEVER leave more than 10% of your merchandise in your showcases/wall-cases; if you do, cover all showcases/wall-cases with fabric regardless. Place rest of your merchandise inside your vault(s). It is better to spent an extra 15-30 minutes at closing, than be sorry the next day.

10-Always leave a night light on at the center of your store

HAPPY SELLING.
